Not quite Wordless Wednesday | Back a few years

Well, I'm going back a few years on this one!  Several times in life, I get bored and just need to escape my house, city, etc.  The weekend in this picture was one of those times.  I think my husband might have been working at a side job or at work the Saturday morning of this trip.  When he got back home, I said, "Let's go somewhere, do something.".  We ended up going to Niagara Falls. It's about 3 1/2 hours from us.  It was almost the end of March.  In my head, I thought it was February.  Apparently, I was wrong.  I remember Jaycee had just started walking.   The falls were still frozen from the winter.  The kids loved it.  It was my second time to Niagara Falls.  The first time I went it was frozen as well.  I love impromptu getaways!  They are so refreshing.  Even if it's just one night, a change of scenery can work wonders!  If you've been to Niagara Falls before, then you can probably tell these were taken from the American side.  We thought we had to have passports to get into Canada already.  At the time, we could have gotten in with just our Birth Certificates and driver's licenses.  Now, of course we have to have passports.  We went again last summer with my parents to the Canadian side and did a lot of the touristy things.  It was a lot of fun.  The Canadian side is definitely more fun if you want to do touristy things.  I imagine we'll be back again sometime!  And if you go and have kids, don't forget the stroller!  We made the mistake of not taking it on the trip below.
Just found a new hop!
Chronicles of a crazy mom

For those of you who are interested, I found something else that was interesting today.  "Diary of a Stay at Home Mom" is starting a linky this month called "31 days of Prayer for My husband".  She's on day 1 today.  You can pray along with her all month!  You can find her first post HERE
