Thrift Store finds before my Vacation

This post was originally posted on my Fit, Fun and Fashionable after 40 blog on 2/14/12.  Bringing some posts over since I'm consolidating blogs.

My hubby and I will be having a child-free vacation in the Keys soon.  Yahoo!!  I decided I was going to try to wear dresses while we're down there.  While I was in a local thrift store one day, I checked out their dresses.  I found a couple cute ones.  I also found some sale shoes from Payless yesterday.  Here are some of the outfits I plan to take with me.  Please forgive my photography skills and the brown closet door!  I am NOT a photographer.

Red and white Polka Dot dress from Salvation Army- $7.99.  Never been worn!
Red wedge shoes- $7.00 Payless Shoe Source
My old standby for an extra layer in the Keys-- My denim jacket.
Crinkle strapless Tie-dye dress.  Thought it was very island-y and turquoise sandals from Payless.
Dress- $3.99 from Salvation Army.
Turquoise sandals from Payless--$9.00
Necklace from Payless--$3.99
My denim jacket.
This next dress actually reminds me of pillowcase ticking.  But, I thought it was cute with the halter and gathering below the bust.  Plus, the stripes are orange, which is supposed to be a hot color this year.  The shirt I already owned.  Still trying to decide if I'll wear a belt over the shirt if I wear the shirt.
Orange striped halter dress--$3.99 Salvation Army.
Turquoise shoes--same as above--$9.00 from Payless Shoe Source.
Necklace--same as above--$3.99 from Payless.
The next outfit is already in my closet.  The jewelry was jewelry I already owned.  Can you tell I like wood and turquoise?  I don't care if it's in style, out of style. . . I love it! And of course. . . the new turquoise sandals from Payless.
Do you shop thrift stores?
