Thankful Thursday

Time for Thankful Thursday.  I think I missed it last week! It's always good to be thankful for what you have.
A thankful heart is a happy heart!

*I'm thankful that Logan had a great first day at school.  He said "Best. Day. Ever."
*I'm thankful that my black thumb didn't hinder
our Gnome Garden!  This was one of the craft kits that Jaycee and I reviewed in our

Fun crafting with Creativity for Kids Craft Kits post.

*I'm thankful that my hubby's Visa went through for China.  He should have it soon-- in enough time for his trip so that he doesn't have to be rushing and stressing out.

*I'm thankful that I got a lot of laundry done today.  Now, I only have 4 or 5 more loads to fold.  At least we have clothes!  I'm thankful for that, too.

*I'm thankful that we will be able to move into our new Master Bedroom, office and craft room soon.  We just have to get the carpet guy here so we can decide on carpet and then the addition can move to the next level.  These moves will help me organize my stuff so much easier since I'll have more room!

*I'm thankful that I'll finally have time to myself again.  I'll miss my kids, but it's nice to have some extra time for workouts, blogging, crafts, learning photography, etc. (With all of the stuff I want to do with my "Free" time, you'd think I was getting 60 hours a week instead of 18 hours a week)

"Appreciation can make a day, even change a life.  Your willingness to put it into words is all that is necessary."--Margaret Cousins

*So. . . thank you to all of my readers.  I appreciate you all!*

"Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever."--1 Chronicles 16:34 (NIV)

The Quirky Homemaker

The Quirky Homemaker

Who IS The Quirky Homemaker from HBHL?

I'm that girl who went to college on scholarship, lost that scholarship after the first year, changed majors 5 times, started working full time to pay for college, ended up with a degree in fashion. . . that girl who met a boy on a cruise who she eventually fell in love with and moved 1100 miles away from home and family to be with. . . that girl who believes in Jesus, but married a man who isn't sure what to believe. . .then had kids with him. . .who are a perfect combination of us both. . . Lord, help us all. . . the girl who is still trying to figure life out. . . whose life, like this blog is constantly evolving. . . that girl who cooks for relaxation, is never organized, always had her nose in a book while growing up. . . who is afraid of heights, but married a BASE jumper. . .that girl who grew out her gray hair and is trying to be the fittest of her life in her 40's. . . that girl who would rather do crafts and sew, than fold the laundry or clean the mud off the floor. . . yeah, I'm that girl
