Hot and Spicy marinated Asparagus
My aunt made this asparagus one time a long time ago. I've come up with a recipe for it that is quick, easy and yummo! Every time I make this it gets raves, even from people who don't normally like asparagus.
1 pound of asparagus, tough ends broken off
1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 cup hot sauce
2 tsp. garlic powder
Boil water in a medium sauce pan to blanch asparagus.
Mix together the olive oil, hot sauce and garlic powder.
Once water boils, add asparagus and boil for one minute. Transfer asparagus to ice water in a medium bowl to stop cooking.
Place asparagus in a container that can be covered. Pour olive oil/hot sauce mixture over asparagus and refrigerate for at least an hour.
