NaBloPoMo | I have no idea where I'd like to live
Today's NaBloPoMo writing prompt was "If you could live anywhere, where would it be?"
The answer is: I have no clue!! I truthfully would be a nomad if I could. There are so many places I'd like to visit. But, I suppose it is neccessary to have some kind of home base. I would like to live somewhere with a warm climate most of the year. Florida in the summer is too hot and Ohio in the winter is too cold. But, I'm sure I wouldn't like to live in the Carolinas. I have no idea why.
I'd like to be close to a beach. I'd like to be somewhere on a daily basis where there is not a lot of traffic. But, it would be nice to be close to a big city and close to an international airport. The cost of living needs to be low. It would be nice to be able to have a garden. I don't want big bugs, lots of snakes or any other creepy-crawlies.
My hubby and I have loved everywhere we've visited. We love California, but the cost of living is so high and the chance of earthquakes. . . . eek! Plus, it's really far away from my family. And Arizona was nice, but the snakes and scorpions. . . . and again, it's so far away from my family.
Sometimes when my hubby and I discuss it, the idea of Jacksonville, FL comes up. It's only 3 hours from my family, it's close the beach, it has a big city. It doesn't get quite as hot as central Florida. But, the traffic is still kind of crazy.
Is there anywhere like what I've described above? I'm asking a lot, right? Where would you live? Which things are you willing to live with to get other features you like?
