My hubby and I still haven't had a chance to visit Texas. Several years ago we were supposed to visit the Texas panhandle in a really quick trip as part of our "get all 50 states together" project. We were going to Colorado so that my hubby could jump off the Royal Gorge Bridge. While we were out there, we were also going to visit New Mexico and Texas as part of the trip. But, my hubby ended up having to work and we had to cancel the trip, which is fine. Now, we can focus on going to all of the other larger cities in Texas.
Maybe at some point, there will be a blogging conference in San Antonio, Houston or Dallas. No matter which city it's in, we can visit other cities as well. My hubby and I usually like to rent a car and explore. We could make a whole vacation out of it. If there is ever a conference in Dallas, while I'm at a meeting in one of the banquet halls in dallas tx, my hubby and kids could go to the Dallas World Aquarium. Although, I might be sad about missing the aquarium.
Or, maybe we could meet some of my family members--I don't think they've ever been to Texas, either. We could plan a party in any of the banquet halls dallas has to offer and then explore. Other places that might be fun to visit are the Zero Gravity Thrill Amusement Park. With so many thrill-seekers in our family, that might be fun. I might sit on the sidelines and watch. And of course we wouldn't be able to go anywhere near Dallas without going to the Legoland Discovery Center! Logan might never forgive us if we skipped that.
If my family met us while I was doing a conference, there are other things that might be more fun with "just the girls." After I leave whichever of the banquet halls in dallas tx that I'll be meeting at, my sister and other female relatives could all go on one of the Foodie Tours or the Dallas by Chocolate Taste tour. Yes, please! Or maybe we could visit a winery. It looks like there are four wineries on the Dallas Wine Trail.
No matter where we end up, I'm sure there are countless ways that we could entertain ourselves.
Do you live near Dallas? Or have you visited? What other things should we add to our "wish list" if we ever visit?
