Affordable Wedding Ring Sets That Are Strikingly Beautiful

I am not that familiar with topaz stones.  I thought that topaz was a yellow stone.  I'm coming to find out recently that so many stones can come in colors that I never even knew existed.  I did know that there is blue topaz, because it's Jaycee's birthstone.

What I didn't realize about topaz, is that there is actually white topaz, also.  It is a clear stone that can look like a diamond but is not quite as hard.

What that means is that you can have the look of a diamond at a lower price.  There are a lot of pretty white topaz engagement rings to choose from, and most people wouldn't be able to tell a difference.

Obviously, when you are getting married, you are marrying because you love the person to whom you'll be married.  The ring is just a symbol of your love.  There is nothing anywhere that says that you have to have a diamond.  You can choose any stone that you would like.  I have already talked about how cool it is when people choose stones such as garnet for their engagement ring instead of a diamond.  I'm finding that the older I get, the more the diamond  doesn't mean that much to me--although I will always love it because my hubby had it hand-picked for me.

What matters is the life that my hubby and I have built together.  And we would have built that same life together whether we had a diamond or not.  And we truthfully could have started our life a little better off monetarily if we wouldn't have had a real diamond.

If you're just starting out your life with someone, there's no reason to go into debt for the ring.  If you can afford an expensive diamond, then by all means, get one.  But, if you would rather spend your money on beginning your life together--there are more affordable options that are still just as sentimental and stylish.

If you are a minimalist at heart, there are simple, pretty solitaires in either white gold or yellow gold.  I usually prefer white gold, but I really love how the yellow gold looks in this minimalist setting.

And they are only $325 each.

If you can't decide whether you want to commit to white gold OR yellow gold, there are rings that combine both colors with a gorgeous effect.  The one below is an engagement set, which means it is the engagement ring and the wedding band.  I love it's art deco styling.  The good thing is that it looks like a diamond and is a one carat stone--but it only costs $675.

If you are still trying to save even more money on your bridal ring set, there is the option of having your white topaz set in sterling silver.  This creates an even more affordable option to have something beautiful for your big day.  Check out these gorgeous white topaz rings set in sterling.  The one below is a complete bridal set.  It has both the engagement ring and the wedding ring for a total of $199.  I love the little swirls on the side in the first one.  The second one is a Christian dove set.  I love how it fits together.
Did you know there was such thing as white topaz?  Aren't these rings gorgeous?

  1. Although I have a diamond wedding band and ring, I am actually a lover of colored stones with diamonds as accents. I am all for getting a stone that LOOKS like a diamond w/o the cost of a diamond. In my not so humble opinion I truly believe that diamonds are overpriced, especially since they are not that rare. Some of the colored gems such as Tanzanite are far more rare and cost far less than diamonds.

    1. I love colored stones, too. Some day I might just buy something for myself! I did buy a Sapphire for myself one time as a "single girl" ring. Now I should really get it resized for a different finger. I wore it on my wedding finger before I got married.

  2. All of those rings are gorgeous. My wedding band is disfigured (from trying to move a treadmill on my own, and getting it caught on there). I could surely use a new one, but I don't think I'm getting one...even if I leave this post up and open on my computer for a week. ;) :)
