It's a LOT of work to get ready for a "Lazy Day"
Last week, I decided I was going to take a "lazy day" on Friday. But, only after I finished cleaning the kitchen and cleaned the sinks and toilets in all three bathrooms and folded the towels. But then. . . . . . I started doing my taxes. I don't know about you, but I'm ready to get my refund!! It's already earmarked to go toward our debt. But, I'm anxious to start seeing those balances go down.
my "lazy day" got put off until this Tuesday. As in tomorrow. So, I've been working diligently to get EVERYTHING done by tonight so that I won't feel guilty taking my "lazy day" tomorrow.
The reason I am so ready for a lazy day is that I haven't had a normal week since before Christmas. There has been quite a lot of puking going on in our house. And in the beginning of January the cat was in heat. Then, when she was finally out of heat we got her fixed. Then we found out she still had a "couple fleas". And I'm obsessive when it comes to that stuff--I mean vacuuming every day, washing sheets every day. Until I just can't do it anymore. Until. . . . . . . a couple weeks later we realize she still has "a couple fleas." And then the cycle starts all over again.
Add onto that the snow days from school, several colds being passed around (including one that was so bad I lost my voice) and weird scheduling things with Meals on Wheels last week and I'm just ready for a "lazy day."
But, it shouldn't be that hard to earn one!
So for now, I'm going to go wash and fold all the clothes, finish cleaning the kitchen, vacuum again and hope that I get it all done so that tomorrow . . . . .
I know we've all been dealing with snow days, sick days, etc. How are you holding up this CRAZY winter?
