Enduring and Thankful

 Today's NaBloPoMo prompt is:
Where do you see your blog in one year? Five years?

Hopefully in one year my blog will be back to it's full glory.  Five years from now I would just like to still be enduring.  Blogging is so much fun.  I love to "hang out" with my bloggy friends.  Blogging has really given me a lot of opportunities that I wouldn't have otherwise had.  So, I hope that I can hang in there for the long run.  Of course my blog will change every day.  As my kids get older I will be dealing with much different issues than I dealt with when they were in preschool and early elementary school.  Crafts will be different.  Recipes will be different.  Social issues will be different.  I will hopefully be on a different spiritual journey.  I believe in constantly trying to improve.  I know a lot of people say that you should be happy with who you are and how things are.
And I am truly happy.  So, the changes that I make won't be because I don't like the way things are now.  I just believe that growth is always possible.  Always.

I am very thankful for everything that I have now.  I hope that I will be thankful in five years as well.

When I began my blog I always did a Thankful Thursday post on Thursdays.  Every Thursday. Not just Thanksgiving.  So, I really would like to get back to that.  There is not a better Thursday to get back to that than on Thanksgiving.  So, here are the five things that I'm thankful for this week.

  1. I'm thankful that my parents made it up here safely last week and that we had a good time.
  2. I'm thankful that I completed my first half marathon.
  3. I'm thankful that the kids get to have a long weekend.
  4. I'm thankful that we get to spend the day with my hubby's family.
  5. I'm thankful for a kitty who will occasionally crawl into my lap.
What are you thankful for this week?

Enjoy your holiday!
