Awww, Mornings!

I'm not a morning person.  Never have been.  I'd rather stay up until 3:00 in the morning and wake up after 9:00.  Really, I figure I need about nine hours of sleep for optimum performance.  Of course getting nine hours of sleep would be darn near impossible.

Yesterday I was so tired I actually poured a cup of water into the garbage can instead of the sink.  I'm not sure how many of you remember the post when I posted this picture. . . .

Um, yeah.  That would be coffee in a bowl.  Instead of pouring the cereal into a bowl and the coffee into a coffee cup, this happened.  It happened in October 2011.  You can see it in my post entitled
"Tired Much?"
So even 3 1/2 years later, waking up early every day during the school year, I'm not much better at this "morning person" thing.

Recently my son has begun getting up at 6:00 in the morning so that he can watch Netflix before school begins.  He has is own little morning ritual now.  Sometimes I come out and he has fallen back to sleep.  Usually on my way out of my room, I stop in Future Fashionista's room and try to get her up.  I poked around all of the blankets today trying to find her to wake her up and she wasn't there.  I had already checked the couch to see if The Builder was awake and didn't remember seeing her there.  I called for her and asked The Builder if he knew where she was.  He told me that she had had a bad dream last night and she was sleeping in his bed.  Ooooohhh, Okay.  I went back to ask her what she wanted for breakfast and she said,
"AB"
I asked, "What?"
"AB"
"Girl, I have no idea what you're saying."
"AB"
"Baby, Try Again!"
"AB"
"What the heck is AB"
"Abby.  She's from Monster High!!"

"WHAT in the world are you talking about?  I asked you what you want for breakfast."

"OH!  I thought you asked me what I want for Christmas.  I want Cinnamon Toast"

Good Grief!  I'm not the only one in the house who is NOT a morning person.  I'm surprised the two of us don't have worse communication skills than that!

So, everyone got up and got on the bus in time and now it's time for me to do my hour and a half workout.  Yes, One and a Half hours.  That doesn't even include any upper body strength training, which I really need to do.

I would love to sit around and blog and visit blogs and work on projects that I have in mind for my blogs today, but I MUST finish the projects that I need to do around the house.  Remember I was going to clean my closet, my craft room and help The Builder separate out LEGOs from three random bins??

Yesterday I got the closet clean.  Woo Hoo!  Plus, my hubby helped me hang some pictures and things on the walls.  So excited I actually got something done on my list this week.  Usually things just get pushed to the next week or the following week and so on and so forth until it's two months later and those projects still aren't done.

Here's some pictures from how the closet turned out and some of my future projects for this space. We eventually need to rip the carpet out~~it's old and stinky and I'd like to put black hardwood or laminate in.
We finally got this iron thing hung.  I found it at a garage sale two years ago for $5 and I spray painted it red.  Love how it turned out.  It's been sitting in our living room for two years, just hanging out with no real home.  Now it's hopefully found it's forever home.
And these are my next two projects in the closet.

Now seriously, I've got to go work out for an hour and a half before I can finish cleaning that craft room.
