Happy Monday. . . .. errr, I mean Tuesday! Update & Goals for the Week

Well, I don't know about your kids, but my kids had a hard time getting up this morning after a four day weekend.  Luckily they got on the bus in time.  You'd think we'd have this morning routine thing down to a science by now and for the most part we do.  But, my kids still get off-track sometimes.  The funny thing about going out in the van to wait for the bus this morning is that we still don't have the clock on the van fixed since the battery was doing it's thing.  We think the van is fixed for now, though.

Last Wednesday when I went to warm the van up so that we could wait in the van for the bus, I turned the key and it just went "Click, click, click, click, click."  This would be the morning after my hubby said, "Oh! You can use the van."  I was worried about the whole van dying in the middle of me driving it thing, the way I talked about it happening in the "At Least We Have Toilet Paper and Coffee" post.

Hubby switched out the alternator last week, so hopefully we'll be okay for a while.  It turns out it was the alternator and not the battery.  Luckily the alternator was under warranty or that would have been a nice little unexpected expense.

On to bigger and better things!  Or laundry.  Whatever.  I folded about ten loads of laundry yesterday and Future Fashionista and I cleaned her bedroom.  Why did we clean her bedroom?  For many, many reasons, but yesterday we were on a mission.  We were looking for the trays for this thing.. . . .
. . . . . .. . . . .this dusty little thing that has sat in the top of Future Fashionista's closet since the one time that we used it after she got it for Christmas a couple years ago.  I finally found a website that has recipes that hopefully will work with this thing.  After all day cleaning, we're still missing one of the little trays though.

We also put these curtains up yesterday!  What a difference a pattern makes.  Seriously.  I couldn't even get a good picture of how boring our dull little white curtains were all by themselves.  Don't get me wrong. . . . I love when there are white curtains blowing in the breeze. . . . .it's so . . .. summery.  But, I feel like I live in a boring little box.  Our house has no character.  There is no fireplace.  There are no crown moldings or beams or built-ins.  We just have four walls, so any and every little detail that I  can add is a plus.  Here are the before and after photos.
The curtains match my DIY Striped Coffee Table that I painted last weekend.

My goals this week are:

*Clean the craft room.  It did not fare so well during the holidays and I still haven't made time to get it back in order.
*Begin Cleaning My Closet -- it's just downright embarrassing
*Help The Builder separate out his random LEGO bins into their separate colors
*Workout 4 times

What are your goals for the week?
