Stuck to My $59 Grocery Budget! What We Got This Week!

Last week, I went to GFS and stocked my freezer pretty well.  That trip caused me to have a lower weekly budget for the next several weeks though.  In my post last week, you'd be able to see that I only had $58.59 to use this week (which is actually my shopping trip for food that will be eaten next week.
You can see my list of that weekly budget breakdown at the link below!
I actually came in $3.44 UNDER my budget!  I will of course be pulling four things out of my freezer for dinners next week and pulling lunch meat out of the freezer for lunches and snacks.

For my $55.15, this is what we got this week.

To take a side dish for a Memorial Party:
(1) 28 oz. can of Onion Flavored Baked Beans
(1) 16 oz. can of Pork & Beans
1 pound of bacon
(I already have onion, green pepper & barbecue sauce in my house to finish the recipe)

Produce:
1 pound of cherries (so excited!! our first cherries this year!)
1 pound of strawberries ($1.50)
1 head of cauliflower ($1.99)
1 pound of asparagus ($1.99)
1 bunch of bananas  (.80)

Unfortunately, Aldi was out of the blueberries and pineapple.

For the Freezer:
2 pound bag of stir-fry veggies with sauce (will use with chicken already in freezer)
2 pounds of frozen ground turkey (for taco night next week)

Other Meat:
Thin sliced boneless pork chops (to cut up for Pork Fried Rice next week)

Household Items:
12 Double Rolls of Toilet Paper
Dishwasher Tabs

For the Pantry:
2 cans of Mini Ravioli
1 Large container of Old Fashioned Oats
18 oz. Crunchy Peanut Butter
1 can of refried beans (for Taco night)
Box of Taco Shells (taco night)
2 packets of Taco seasoning (taco night)
1 box of Thin Wheat crackers
1 box of cheese crackers
2 boxes of frosted wheat cereal

Milk and Bread Items:
1 Gallon of 2% milk
1 loaf of 12 grain bread
1 pack of whole wheat hotdog buns
1 pack of thin wheat sandwich rounds

Luckily, I still have a lot of veggies left over from this week and last week that I need to use up still. . . . .cabbage (both red and green), potatoes, zucchini, sugar snap peas, baby carrots, grape tomatoes, onions, green peppers, parsley, baby broccoli.  That's why I didn't need to buy many veggies this week.

I think next week we're going to try to take a trip to the West Side Market.  We'll see.  Next week might be crazy with end of the school year stuff.

How have you been at sticking to your grocery budget?
