WW | BooBoos, Bonfires, Beer and Backsplashes w/LINKY

Booboos, Bonfires, Beer, Backsplashes, BB Guns, Clouds and Caricatures

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend.  We had a little bit of everything going on here.  We drank some beers with various friends at various houses.  My hubby and son went ATV and dirt bike riding.  We had bonfires.  And my hubby put up the backsplash in the kitchen.

It still needs to be grouted.  It is putting a wrench into all of my meal planning this week.  I couldn't make my fried rice last night.  I was going to try to do it in the oven somehow and he said that probably wouldn't be a good idea either.  So, we ended up with bad-for-us carryout.

WARNING!

The picture of the boo-boo is pretty gross.  If you have a weak stomach, don't look at this picture!  When my hubby was getting things ready to go dirtbike riding, he didn't have his riding boots on yet.  He was just trying to start the bike to get it on the trailer and he peeled the skin off the front of his shin.  I tried to get him to go to the ER, but he wouldn't.  He tried to fix it himself.  We have several nurse and EMS friends who told him he should have gone, but also told him that they wouldn't have done much more than what he did.

Hubby was working Friday night and asked if I could go get beer.  He doesn't want to spend money on good beer for himself, so I went to the special beer store and got this IPA.  It was so good if you like IPAs.  It was really hoppy and citrusy tasting.  Whenever we want to have a special beer again, we'll definitely remember it.

We were at a friend's house Sunday night for a bonfire.  I love the groovy photos of the "moving fire."

My hubby got my son a BB gun a couple years ago, but he uses it more than my son does.  Every now and then the rest of us get a turn.  Future Fashionista tried her hand at it last night.
under these gorgeous skies.  I can not even describe how cool all of the clouds were last night.  There were light, wispy ones that were so far away.  Then there were some that looked like they were so close, we could almost touch them.  Those clouds were moving very quickly!

Friday night, Future Fashionista, who is our resident socialite, was spending the night with a friend.  The girl is crazy.  She spent the night with a friend on Friday night, then that friend came over to our house for a couple hours.  Then we went to another friend's house where she played until she passed out.  Then the next day she had a birthday party to go to where she spent the night with yet another friend.  THEN, she went to the lake with that friend, came home and played with the neighbor until after 7:00.  Then she got upset because she "never has time to spend with mommy."  Really?

Anyway!  The first night she spent the night with her friend, Quirky Hubby, The builder and I went to one of the local rib cookoffs.  And we had this Caricature portrait of The Builder done.

  4. Sounds like it was an outstanding weekend - minus the booboo! My husband is a big fan of IPAs so when I'm in Missouri in a week or so, I'm going to have to pick that up for him. (we don't have Boulevard down here on the Gulf Coast) Love those fire shots!

    Stopping by from image-in-ing ;)
