Review: Biotin Bursts and Beauty Infusion Collagen Drink Mix

 Update:
Congrats to Whitney L. who was the winner!
Thank you to everyone who entered!

I was recently given the opportunity to try some new-to-me beauty supplements.  Of course I jumped at the chance.  Since I'm in my mid-40s, my skin isn't exactly as tight as it used to be. I can use any help I can get.  Plus, my nails have been cracking and chipping a lot lately.  I think it's a combination of the aging process, being more active over the Summer, and just not remembering to take my vitamins.

NeoCell sent me two products to try for no charge to me.  No other compensation was received.  All opinions are 100% mine.

I was so excited when I received these supplements and couldn't wait to get started.  In fact, I broke into my boxes and tried them right then and there.  I've been using them for about a week now.  Although I can't say yet whether or not they're making my nails stronger, I definitely feel like I have more energy.   I will keep you updated at the bottom of the post when I see results in the coming weeks.

The Biotin Bursts are easy to take and they taste really good, so you should put them up away from kids so that they don't think that they're candy.  I seriously look forward to taking the Biotin Burst Chews.  They come wrapped individually in a bag that can be closed.

The Beauty Infusion Drink mix is a powdered drink mix.  The powdered drink mix comes with a scoop so that you get the perfect amount every time.

I think both products taste really good.  The drink mix is a little harder for me to take, because even when  I mix it, it is sometimes still a little gritty and makes my throat tickle.  If I stir it for about 15 seconds longer, it works a little better.  I also drink a little more water after I drink the Beauty Infusion.  The tickling is not enough to stop me from taking it, just wanted to let you know in case you have issues like that. And like I said, it still tastes really good.

I'm sure you've heard about collagen.  It is the building block for healthy connective tissue, including skin.  When I was looking up collagen online, I was surprised by how many other body parts and body systems actually have collagen.  I had no idea bones and teeth also have collagen.  The good thing about NeoCell's products are that they have a type of collagen that is bioavailable.  I'm not going to bore you with the details here, because the NeoCell website does a much better job explaining everything.  Let's just say that collagen can possibly help improve circulation, help with osteoarthritis, help improve the condition of your hair, skin and nails and help recover more quickly from workouts.  You can find more of the scientific stuff about all of that info HERE

Luckily, NeoCell offers many different types of supplements.
NeoCell's various supplements come in tablets, caplets, powders, liquids and chews.

They have products for:

Total Body Health
Joint Health
Antioxidant Health
Sport Ultimate Recovery Health
Beauty from Within
Ligament, Tendon and Muscle Health

You can find a retailer that sells NeoCell products at the
NeoCell website

You can also find them online at Vitamin Shoppe, Vitamin World and other places online.

I found the Biotin Bursts online between $11.99 - $13.99 for a box of 30 chews.
The Appletini is around $29.99 for a 30 day supply of drink mix.

They also are sold on Amazon.  Both products are offered through Prime, which of course means if you have Prime, you get free shipping!

Guess what!?!  If you're interested in trying them at a store near you, you can find coupons online at the NeoCell Facebook page!  I'm so excited I saw that.  I think I'd like to keep getting them after my trial period and those coupons will help out.

You can also follow NeoCell on Twitter.

While I was perusing the NeoCell website, I found something really interesting.  They give back!  For the past several years, they have made donations to a company called Vitamin Angels.  Vitamin Angels is a non-profit group that helps at-risk groups attain vitamin and mineral supplements, specifically mothers-to be, new mothers and children.

This excerpt is from a post on their site last fall (2014) about how much they've helped raise for Vitamin Angels:
"As a company, NeoCell is running our fourth annual fall campaign to raise money for Vitamin Angels. From October through December, we are donating 25-cents to Vitamin Angels for every single product we ship. Last year we were able to raise $192,000; that’s enough money to help more than 770,000 children. I still find that number staggering, but I know the number of children lacking nutrition is even more staggering."

I love companies who give back and I happen to have a soft heart for any non-profits that help moms and kids OR have anything to do with food and nutrition.  I look forward to seeing if NeoCell continues this tradition this year.  . . . . *insert smiley face*

So now, although I loved the products that I was able to try, I love the company even more.
