Meal Plan "Monday" and Goals for the Week
Back-to-School means back to our Meal Plans. Hopefully.
And our Weekly Menu Plan Board finally is doing it's job again! You can see how I made the Menu Board HERE.
Our meal plan for this week actually begins on Tuesday this week. That's when we'll be getting back into our more "normal" routine. Unfortunately this Fall, my hubby will be working a couple nights a week and we'll have soccer practice three nights a week. All of that really throws a wrench into family dinners. Family dinners are so important to me. I guess we're just going to have to squeeze them in when we can. Between all the changes coming up, my hubby and I are really going to have to sit down and have a meeting about everything.
I went over my planned budget this week as I just wanted to shop for what was on my list and get some snacks for school, etc. I'm hoping to stick to a $75/week budget, but I don't know if that's realistic. I spent about $115 yesterday.
Here's our Meal Plan for this week, starting on Tuesday:
Dinner: Baked Potato and Salad Night
Lunch for Hubby During Week: Pasta Salad
Breakfast for kids: Cinnamon Rolls, Eggs and Turkey Bacon
Lunch for kids: Pizza pockets, raw broccoli
Dinner: Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken
Kids lunch: Taco Meat, Rice & Beans, Grape Tomatoes, Black Olives, Tortilla Chips
Dinner: Sandwiches (busy night with soccer practice and Middle school open house)
Lunch for kids: Homemade chicken noodle soup, fruit
Dinner: Chicken Fried Rice, veggie
Who knows! Every man for himself
Lemon garlic pork roast (preseasoned from Aldi)
Haven't planned which sides yet
GOALS for this week:
Get stuff ready for neighbor's garage sale
Clean kitchen cabinets
Survive first week of school and soccer practices
