Thrifting the Trends | Rose Quartz Sweater

Rose Quartz was one of Pantone's colors of the year for 2016.  I created a set on Polyvore ten months ago with Rose Quartz and then the color completely slipped my mind.  When I saw that pink was still trending for Fall, I decided to see what I could find at our local thrift store.

I found this chunky cable knit sweater vest. It cost me a whopping $3.  I. Love. Our. Thrift Store.

Although the trend on the runways for Fall was to pair all kinds of pinks with all kinds of yellows, I just have mine paired with a Winter White turtleneck sweater and a pair of skinny jeans. Because they're comfy.  Keep it simple, right?  Loafers with heels and a pair of pearl earrings finish the simple, classic look.

Although I like trends, I tend to lean toward classics.   I'm more Audrey Hepburn than Betsey Johnson.  Know what I mean?  Although, I'm not afraid to throw a little off-the-wall in there every now and then.  For every day wear though, I stay pretty basic.  As always, the pictures stink.  At some point I might get my photographer friend to help me out.  As for now, this. is. it.  I think you can get the idea of the pink sweater vest, though.  Me trying to figure out how to get a good picture without a professional camera and tripod is leaving me perplexed.  And I don't have the time to figure it out.  So, pphhhttt!  Here. Ya. Go.
