Wordless Wednesday w/LINKY Our Hobbit LOTR Party

For two years in a row, we had a Disney party on President's Day weekend.  It's a good weekend to do a party on a Sunday because some of the people don't have to work on Monday since it's a holiday.  Plus, it's usually cold and dreary.  A party is a fun way to liven things up in the middle of Winter.  This year the weather was wonderful, though.  Anyone else having wonderfully warm weather this February?

This year we decided to switch the Disney party to a Hobbit/Lord of the Rings party.  We were watching the movies over the Christmas break and thought it would be good to change things up this year.

I decorated our kitchen like a hobbit hole. I found a lot of cute, rustic, hobbit-y looking things at the Salvation Army. I also "built" a little fire place.  Every hobbit home has a fire place!

Our living room was the mountain with gold and Smaug.

My hubby built a tower, which held my son's Hobbit LEGO characters.

We recreated a hobbit feast.

We tried to find beer with labels that were themed, but most of us had a hard time finding good ones!

That's okay.  A great time was had by all.

We had several hobbits,
a couple elves, a dwarf,

and we even had The One Ring and a tree Ent. I love my friends for playing along!
