Thankful Thursday

Happy Thursday everyone!  I don't know about you, but I'm excited that it's almost the weekend again.  I don't have any idea how people with more than two kids keep up with everything.  You guys are awesome!  We've all been going through rounds of colds or something around here.  Jaycee stayed home last week and has woken up with coughing fits at least half of the days since last Wednesday.  And Logan had a sore throat and fever on Tuesday night so we kept him home yesterday.  Luckily for me (I have so much to do!) they are both in school today.  I felt like I was getting the flu a couple nights ago. . . . . you know that ache you get in your neck and shoulders and the hot flashes and chills.  Luckily, it hasn't graduated into a full-blown anything yet, which is good because I don't have time for it.  I have several get-togethers and parties coming up this week and I must be healthy!

Yesterday I started moving the beds around.  I did finally manage to get our queen into the new master bedroom--that was no small feat.  I can't decide what colors I want to go with on the bed.  I was going to try to buy new bed furniture and a new comforter set, but I decided that all of that could wait.  I don't know why I'm rushing it.  At this point, it is what it is.  We're taking baby steps.  And there's no need to buy new stuff right now when it's not an absolute necessity.  Once the remodel is done and we get all of the finances of the whole thing straightened out, it can be a little "celebration buy" for me.  Right now, my old purple stuff still works.  And just so you know. . . . this is the longest I've ever had a comforter set in my life.  We've had this purple one since we moved in three and a half years ago.  I usually change my comforters like the seasons.  .  . every 3 months!
And I started going through my magazines.  If you saw my "I think I need a 12 step program" post yesterday, you know what I mean!  I decided to recycle everything except for the Family Fun, Family Circle, Better Homes and Gardens, Oprah, Rachael Ray, Organic Gardening (wishful thinking on my part) and the Vegetarian Times magazines.  And that is still a pretty huge amount that I'm keeping.  I just can't stand the thought of throwing out all of those recipes and crafts!  My hubby said, "'re poking fun at yourself!  Why am I not allowed to say anything?"   I told him because it was okay for me to make fun of myself, but it was not okay for him to make fun of me!

Now. . . . on to Thankful Thursday!!

**I'm thankful that my hubby made it back from China safely.
**I'm thankful that I've been given so many opportunities through this blog.  I'm looking forward to my National Coffee day party on Saturday!  And I'm looking forward to seeing what other mommies, babies and toddlers think about the new Megablok Princess castle toys on Monday.
**I'm thankful for friends who offer to help, because they know I'm not going to ask for help!
**I'm thankful that as it's starting to turn cooler, I have a warm house.  I pray for all of the people who don't.
**I'm thankful for coffee today since I have so much I need to get done.  I'm hoping to continue switching stuff from our room to Jaycee's and vice versa.
**I'm thankful for all of my dear readers.  Thank you for coming back!
