I love Lazy Saturday Mornings

I love Saturday mornings when we can wake up at our own pace.  We don't have to be forced to wake up to a glaring alarm or rush to make breakfasts and lunches, or get ready for a day of soccer.  I enjoyed this morning even though I had to drink decaff coffee because I still haven't been able to make it to the grocery store.

Future Fashionista made me breakfast.  I love that she loves to make things special by putting out placemats.  Last night she asked why we never use placemats. I think I told her they just get in the way.  But every now and then it's nice to use them, especially when she thinks it's nice.
Even when she just opened the fridge and realized she put the granola back in the fridge, which actually made me giggle, the morning is good.

As I clean the kitchen,
Future Fashionista is reading me riddles and jokes from 1,001 Cool Schoolyard Jokes.  I know about half of them.

The cat is chasing a bead around the kitchen that dropped on the floor last night when one of Future Fashionista's bracelets broke.  It's the funniest thing, and unusual because since she's over a year and a half old now, she doesn't play as much anymore.  I can't believe that the cat is harder to get a picture of than the 10 year old boy.  I didn't think it was possible for anyone or anything to be harder to get a photo of.
We're throwing around ideas for our #DisneySide @Home Celebration that we'll be having.  We've started a #DisneySide pinboard at Pinterest with ideas.  We're thinking about a Pirates and Princesses theme.  I can't wait to see what we'll be getting in our complimentary box, thanks to MomSelect and DisneySide.  I'm thinking I might wear this dress which I sewed for FF's Princess party five years ago, if I can get into it.
Tonight I think we'll start off our #DisneySide inspiration by having a Pirates of the Caribbean movie marathon!!

Now we're going to get back to our lazy morning, though.

But quick. . .. . before you leave. . . .

"What's black and white and laughs?"

A:  A penguin who just hit another one.

I know it's bad.  We try to teach our kids to keep their hands to themselves, but it actually made me giggle this morning.

Are you enjoying your weekend?  Or week if you see this later?

  1. What a wonderful party and silly joke that my children will love in the morning! When we did MNSSHP in Disney World last year, my daughter was Pirate Tinkerbell :)
