This year we decided to switch the Disney party to a Hobbit/Lord of the Rings party. We were watching the movies over the Christmas break and thought it would be good to change things up this year.
I decorated our kitchen like a hobbit hole. I found a lot of cute, rustic, hobbit-y looking things at the Salvation Army. I also "built" a little fire place. Every hobbit home has a fire place!
Our living room was the mountain with gold and Smaug.
My hubby built a tower, which held my son's Hobbit LEGO characters.
We recreated a hobbit feast.
We tried to find beer with labels that were themed, but most of us had a hard time finding good ones!
That's okay. A great time was had by all.
We had several hobbits,
a couple elves, a dwarf,
and we even had The One Ring and a tree Ent. I love my friends for playing along!
